The Kishwaukee College men's basketball team rode the strong play of freshman post player JoVonte Peals (Marquette Catholic High School) and the triple/double of Bryson Butler (Lincoln Park High School) to obtain a 83-76 victory over the Illinois Valley Eagles. Peals scored 23 points on 10-13 shooting from the floor and Butler had 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for the Kougars.
The Kougars led 41-32 at the half and kept the offensive pressure on, scoring 44 points in the second half. Malcolm Reed (Marquette Catholic High School) was the third Kougar in double figure scoring with 13 points. Reed also posted a team-high 13 rebounds for the Kougars, as they out-rebounded the Eagles by a 47-28 margin.
