The Kougar men's basketball team had a one point lead at 73-72, with 2:33 left in the game, over McHenry County College, but couldn't hold on down the stretch and lost 84-77. In a game that featured several lead changes, Kishwaukee seemed to take control of the game at the 12:30 mark, with a Bryson Butler (Lincoln Park HS) jumper putting the Kougars up 59-49.
The next six minutes and fifteen seconds saw the Scots go on an 18-7 run to reclaim the lead at 67-66 with 6:15 remaining in the game. The Kougars continued to trail until two free throws by Koko Songolo (Madison Memorial HS) put Kishwaukee in front 73-72 with 2:33 remaining. It was the final lead for the Kougars as they were out-scored 12-4 to end the game.
Armon Williams (Oak Forest HS) led Kishwaukee in scoring with 18 points, while Butler and Austin Patterson (Morris HS) followed with 13 points each. Deon Merrill (Naperville North HS) was the only other Kougar in double figures with 10.
The Kougars return to the court on Saturday, November 28th, as they travel to Prairie State College for a 3:00 pm game.
