The Kougars of Kishwaukee College jumped out to a 37-22 halftime lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 74-40 win over Wilbur Wright College. Defense was the name of the game as the Kougars held Wright to just 21% shooting for the game, and just 23% from the 3-pt line. The Kougars were so stingy defensively that Wright scored more baskets from the free-throw line (17) than from the floor, as they converted just 10 baskets.
The Kougars, on the other hand, shot 48% from the floor and 52% in the second half. Just two Kougars scored in double figures, as Kishwaukee had a very balanced scoring night. Ryan Reeder (Mendota HS) led the Kougars with 13 points, going 6-8 form the floor, followed by Armon Williams (Oak Forest HS) with 12 points. Koko Songolo (Madison Memorial) had nine points and Austin Patterson (Morris HS), Malcolm Reed (Marquette Catholic HS) and JaJuan Cosby (West Chicago HS) all finished with eight points each.
The Kougars look to continue their winning ways as they travel to College of DuPage on Tuesday, Nov. 17th at 7:30 pm.
