The Kishwaukee College men's basketball team overcame an early 14 point deficit to the Triton Trojans to lead by as many as 5 points late in the second half, but couldn't hold on, as they lost 92-91.
The Kougars had a number of opportunities, but two late turnovers and second chance opportunities hurt Kishwaukee. With Kishwaukee leading 91-90, the Tritons missed a mid-range jumper, but tipped it in with 3.2 seconds remaining. A last second heave by Armon Williams was off the mark.
Bryson Butler (Lincoln Park HS) led the Kougars with 19 points and 9 assists. Austin Patterson (Morris HS) followed with 18 points on 4 of 6 shooting from 3 pt. land. Malcolm Reed (Marquette Catholic HS) scored the Kougars first 6 points and finished with 17 for the game.
