The Kishwaukee Kougars, looking to get back on track after a 86-77 loss to Moraine Valley College, jumped out to 5-0 and 7-2 leads before the Trolls of Trinity Christian roared back to take a 12-11 lead. The rest of the half was back and forth until the Kougars pulled ahead 49-37 heading into the locker room with their largest lead of the half.
In the second half, the Kougars out-scored the Trolls by a 42-23 margin and settled into a 90-61 win.
Austin Patterson (Morris High School) led the Kougars in scoring with 16 points and led the team in rebounding with 9. JoVonte Peals (Marquette Catholic High School) had 14 points and 7 rebounds and Jajuan Cosby (West Chicago High School) was the last Kougar in double figure scoring with 12 points on a perfect 4-4 from the floor, 2-2 from the 3-pt line and 2-2 from the free throw line.
With the victory, the Kougars move to 2-1 as they head on the road to play Wright Community College on Nov. 14th @ 3:00pm.
