Kishwaukee finishes the week (3-0) with a 68-58 road win at Oakton College and extends its winning streak to 7-games.

The Kougars went on the road to Oakton College and came away with their 9th win of the season and 7th consecutive victory.  The game was slow and frigid as the December air outside as both teams shot the ball poorly to begin the game.  Both teams defenses did a good job challenging each opponents shots and clearing the defensive boards.  Kishwaukee would create a small lead at (32-25) late in the half only to see the Owls close the gap with a timely 3pt basket backed up by a 2pt basket just before the 1st half horn sounded.  Both teams would have a balanced attack as no player would reach double-figures during the first half.  Kishwaukee was led by sophomore point guard Bryson Butler(Lincoln Park HS) with 8 points and 5 rebounds followed closely by sophomore forward JoVonte Peals(Marquette HS) with 6 points and 7 rebounds; freshman guard Deshaun Jackson(Peoria HS) 5 points and 6 rebounds; and freshman guard/forward Josh Wilkes(Lincoln Park HS) with 5 points and 3 rebounds.  Both teams would play fairly close throughout the second half with each team answering the others baskets.  The Kougars would begin to pull away late in the half with good ball movement and a strong finish from the free throw line(9-10).  Kishwaukee would buckle down on the defensive end and hold the Owls without a made field goal over the final 5 minutes of the second half and were able to ice the game away for the victory.  This was the 6th season in a row the Kougars have defeated the Owls in their annual Region IV match-up.  Kishwaukee would be led by Butler with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.  Also finishing with double figures for the Kougars was sophomore forward Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals; followed by Jackson with 11 points , 9 rebounds, 2 assists.  Peals finished with 13 rebounds to go along with his 8 points.  Kishwaukee's bench has continued to be valuable with strong play on the night from Wilkes who had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.  Sophomore guard Koko Songolo(Memorial HS) would add 8 points and 2 assists in the win.  Kishwaukee returns home for its final home game of 2016 with a battle against (10-0) Elgin College Tuesday night with a 7:30pm start.
