The Kougar's fell behind on the first possession of the game as Harper converted 1 of 2 free throws after a foul by Malcolm Reed four seconds into the 1st half. After that point Kishwaukee went on a 14-0 run to claim a strong lead and never trailed again in the contest. Kishwaukee used good defensive pressure to force Harper into 24 turnovers on the night and convert them into 26 points. Kishwaukee held a 40-31 half-time lead but came out in the beginning of the second half and pushed the lead back into double-figures. On the night Kishwaukee was led by freshman guard Deshaun Jackson(Peoria HS) with 20points on (8-10) shooting from the floor. Three other Kougars reached double figure scoring with sophomore JoVonte Peals(Marquette HS) scoring 17 points, sophomore Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) adding 16 points, and sophomore Koko Songolo(Memorial HS) tallying 12 points in the game. Kishwaukee would push their lead in the second half to as many as 23 points before finishing with a 14-point win. Kishwaukee has now defeated Harper in five consecutive seasons. Kishwaukee is back in action this Saturday November 5th for its home opener against Region IV opponent Wilbur Wright College. Tip-off is at 3pm in Kishwaukee's gym.
