Austin Patterson, a 6'3" guard, from Morris High School, has been named Region IV- Division II Player of the Week. Patterson scored 44 points in 2 games, going 16-23 from the floor, including 9-12 from the 3-pt line. He also tallied 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals during the two game stretch.
For the season, Patterson is averaging 13.7 points per game to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He is shooting 43.6% from the 3-pt line and 80% from the free-throw line.
Patterson is the second Kougar to be named Region IV- Division II Player of the Week, joining fellow freshman Malcolm Reed who was honored during the 5th week of the season.
