The Kougars of Kishwaukee College used a balanced scoring attack to get back on track with an 80-64 victory over Black Hawk College. All five Kougar starters scored in double figures as well as one Kougar coming off of the bench.
The Kougars used a late first half push to go into the locker room with a 42-32 advantage and stretched the lead to as many as 22 points at 56-34. Armon Williams (Oak Forrest High School) led six Kougars in double figure scoring with 16 points. He was joined by Austin Patterson with 14, JoVonte Peals with 11, Ryan Reeder with 10, Bryson Butler with 13 and Malcolm Reed chipped in a double/double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Kougars were also strong on defense, forcing 20 Black Hawk turnovers and out-rebounding the Braves 36-35.
