The Kishwaukee Kougars needed every second of a double overtime game to overcome Olive-Harvey College. The Kougars travelled to Olive-Harvey and came away on the winning end of a 50 minute game, by the score of 82-80. Kishwaukee led by 1 point going into the half 34-33, but regulation ended at 67-67. The first overtime saw both teams score 8 points to keep the game knotted at 75. The last session saw the Kougars out-score Olive-Harvey 7-5 to seal the road win.
Malcolm Reed (Marquette Catholic HS) led Kishwaukee with a monster game of 25 points and 18 rebounds, for his 4th straight double/double. The 18 rebounds was his season high and the 25 points was 1 point shy of the 26 points he scored against Moraine Valley. Ryan Reeder (Mendota HS) also had a career night, notching 18 points on 7-11 shooting to go with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Reeder and Reed were the only two Kougars to score in double figures.
With the win the Kougars move to 8-4 on the season, as they prepare for Thursday night's game versus the Region IV #1 ranked Triton College. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm.
