Kougars split at Carl Sandburg Saturday

March 29, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College baseball team split a conference doubleheader at Sandburg this past Saturday.  After losing 13-3 in game one, the Kougars came back to run rule the Chargers by the same 13-3 score in five innings.  Sawyer Larson scored two runs for Kish while teammate Jackson Young scored the other for Kish.  Daelen Figueroa, Jonathan Hartline, Larson and Young had hits while Victor Flores had 2 hits and an RBI.

Game two highlights, included a grand slam home run and 5 RBI by Dalton Rutherford that led to a big 12 run fourth inning.  Bryce Feit scored 2 runs as did Young, Larson and Jack Okun. FIgueroa added 3 RBI.  Maddox Gerwig went the complete 5 innings to get teh win giving up 1 earned run.

The Kougars (3-18 overall, 1-5 Arrowhead Conference) will host Sandburg on Tuesday with first pitch at 2:00 pm.
