MALTA, Ill. — Bryant & Stratton College baseball visited the Kishwaukee Kougars for its second consecutive road doubleheader. The offense struck gold in the both games scoring 82 runs and the pitching found its groove, holding the Kougars to five runs. Here are some highlights of both games.
Game 1 | Bryant & Stratton 12, Kishwaukee 1
The Bobcats struck first in game one after Jedvier Garcia doubled, bringing in Luis Serrano who reached on an error. Kishwaukee cut the lead in half scoring one run in the bottom of the second, but in the fifth, Bryant & Stratton scored five runs. Ashton Kampa doubled and drove in two runs. Ryan Weed added a two-run home run in the inning.
The Bobcats added four more runs over the next two innings and they won by 11-runs.
Carter Szohr was brilliant once again and pitched six innings allowing one earned run and two hits. He also struck out four in his appearance.

Game 2 | Bryant & Stratton 16, Kishwaukee 4
The bats stayed hot in the second game of the doubleheader and Bryant & Stratton was led by Quinn Baier. He recorded 3 hits in four at bats and drove in three runs. Thomas Hunt also drove in three runs and collected two hits.
Bryant & Stratton College got on the board in the top of the first inning after Garcia singled, scoring two runs, and Thomas Hunt doubled, scoring one run. The runs didn't stop and the Bobcats scored 13 runs over the next three innings to rule the Kougars in five innings.
