Kish runners enjoy event and success at NJCAA Nationals

November 12, 2022 – The NJCAA hosted their 2022 Women's and Men's DII Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Tallahassee Florida.  Kishwaukee College had an individual qualifier in each program.  On the women's side, Freshman Kylie Von Schnase (Sycamore HS) ran a 22:24, which was good for a 107th place finish out of 218 women's runners as well as finishing in 3rd place out of all the NJCAA Region 4 runners competing.  For the men, Freshman Zander Ward (DeKalb HS) posted a 29:38, good for 109th place out of 226 men's runners while finishing 7th out of the Region 4 runners that competed.  Coach Costanzo on the event, "We had a huge amount of support from Kishwaukee, and it was exciting to see our fan/family support that came down in attendance as a crew. It was a great day overall for our student athletes!  It was a very motivating experience for our runners and coaching staff, and I look forward to next year's teams pushing to get our full teams to the national qualifying level!"
