September 10, 2024 - The Kishwaukee College Womens Volleyball team hosted Arrowhead Conference foe Highland Community College on Tuesday.  The Kougars would eventually lose the match 11-25, 17-25 13-25.  Kish sophomores Avery Salsbury (Oregon HS) and Addie Friestad (Rochelle Township HS) played well as did new freshman teammates Kennedy Adamski (Rochelle Township HS) , Brooklyn Rylko (Hiawatha HS), Elizabeth Hemphill (Indian Creek HS) and Cara Fant (Sycamore HS).  "We have a good number of freshmen on the roster this year to blend in with Addie and Avery. It is just taking a little more time for us to gel this early part of the season while battling through a couple key injuries." said Head Coach Zach Salapatek. "I see some really good effort and it will happen soon where we start stacking winning sets. The team never gives up and battles each and every point!"  The Kougars (0-5 overall) will host Sandburg College on Monday, September 16 at 6:00 pm in another Arrowhead Conference match-up.
