February 27, 2025 - The Kougars will look to build on last year's 30+ win season that saw them advance to the finals of their regional quadrant. This year they return six starters from last year's strong squad. All - conference P - Alyssa Wilkerson, as well as C- Abby Stoffa, DH - Haley Von Schnase, P/3B - Kyra Johnson and OF's Laila Anderson and Crystal Haack. Key newcomers are transfers Kailey Goetz - 1B, Bella Koertner - CF and All-region performer Ana-Kate Phillips - 2B, along with freshman Reilee Suter - SS. This year's team "hopes to compete for the conference crown, surpass last year's win total and have a nice post season run!" said head coach Eric Simmons.

Kish will open for a back to back weekend DH series at the Rosemont Dome February 28 and March 1 then prepare to go on their spring trip.  This year will again be in Florida where they will play Cuyahoga State, Mott College, Mid-Michigan College, Ellsworth College and Iowa Lakes CC before they return home to take on the tough Region 4 schedule that includes such teams as Kankakee, Rock Valley, Waubonsee, Triton, Madison College, McHenry County College, Lake County, Harper, Morton and Moraine Valley CC.  The Kougars will also have to battle through their tough Arrowhead Conference home and away DH action against Black Hawk, Highland CC Illinois Valley, Sandburg College and Sauk Valley CC.
