April 10, 2023 – The Kishwaukee College Softball team travelled to Dixon, Illinois Monday to take on Arrowhead Conference rival Sauk Valley CC.  In game one, Kya Logston picked up the win in the circle going all seven innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out 5 Skyhawks on the 10-2 victory for Kish.  Offensively for the Kougars, Jalyna Polichnowski scored 3 runs and gathered 2 hits, Logston had 3 hits and 3 RBI to help her cause and teammates Linnea Nelson (1 RBI) and Katie Taylor (3 runs) had three hits a piece.  Samantha Koper scored 2 runs and Kendal Ansteth added 2 hits.

In game two, the Kougars would take the doubleheader sweep 5-2.  Reese Ward went all seven for Kish giving up 0 ER and getting 9 Skyhawk strikeouts.  Kayla Wiedemann (RBI), Mia Richards (RBI) and Ward all added hits for Kishwaukee.  Koper, Ansteth and Polichnowski crossed the plate each as well.

Kishwaukee moves to 2-6 in Arrowhead Conference and play on the road Tuesday at Highland CC.
