April 22, 2025 – The Kishwaukee College Men's and Women's Golf teams teed it up Monday at the "Melee in Morris," held at Nettle Creek Golf Course. With sunny skies, temperatures at 71°F, and a steady breeze throughout the afternoon, players faced a true spring challenge on the course.
Freshman Bryce Olson, a DeKalb High School graduate, led the Kougars on the men's side with a solid round of 87. Owen Haas, a sophomore from Rochelle, followed with a 95, battling the wind to post a competitive score.
On the women's side, freshman Macey Stoddard—a Rockford Christian Life High School product—represented the team with determination, carding a 118 in her round.
"The conditions made it a real test out there, and I'm proud of how our players handled it," said Head Coach John Karpowicz. "This kind of experience is exactly what we need as we continue to develop and prepare for postseason play."
The Kishwaukee Men's team will be back in action later this week at the Bryant & Stratton Legends Classic, set for April 24–25.
