Kish continues to prepare for regionals at Sauk Valley Invite

September 16, 2021 - The Kishwaukee College Men's Golf team finished playing the two-day Sauk Valley Invite on Thursday.  Day one of competition saw Thomas O'Connor tied for the tourney lead with a 68 at Deer Valley CC in Deer Grove.  The venue moved to PrairieView GC in Byron Thursday.  O'Connor still continued his success but fell off the pace just a little outside the medals finishing tied for seventh (68-83).  His Kougar teammates had many quality approaches and putts as well throughout the day as Trevor Pierce tied for 44th (91-91), Jordan Compton 47th (93-93), Reese Kirk 48th (89-98) and Gabe Badgley in 51st with a (98-94).

Right now it's about cleaning up a few mechanical things for the team.  Each team member hit some pretty decent shots today and yesterday" said Head Coach Thomas Brennan. "It's just about being consistent, stringing some holes together and pushing through - all the guys are close!  It will be exciting to see how we perform next week at our home course."

Kish now moves on to host their own Kougar Invite at Fairways GC in Rochelle on September 24 in one of the remaining fall tourneys before the regional championships.
