January 5, 2023 - The Kishwaukee College Men's Basketball team started the new year and their Arrowhead Conference part of the schedule by beating Carl Sandburg College Thursday night 79-67.  The Kougars took the lead half way through the first half, never to relinquish the lead the rest of the game, while they led by as many as 18 points with 10:11 left in the second half.  Four players for Kish were in double figures.  Cam Russell (Indian Creek HS) led the way with 28 points, Donavyn Sayles (Rockford Lutheran HS) 15 points, Carion Hale (Plano HS) 12 points and Brennen McNally (Indian Creek HS) 11 points.  Jackson Chatman (Bishop DuBourg HS-MO) added 9 points from the three point line, Jordan Garcia (DeKalb HS) chipped in 4 points, 4 rebounds while Cooper Hasz (Rochelle HS) and Jalen Dale (Thorton Fractional South HS) pulled down two rebounds each.

Kishwaukee (3-10 overall, 1-0 Arrowhead Conference) will battle non-conference foe Prairie State College on Saturday at 1:00 pm before hosting Arrowhead Conference rival Illinois Valley CC on Tuesday Jan 10 at approximately 7:30 pm.
