Kougars postseason comes to an end versus #1 seed MVCC

February 24, 2022 - After winning their first regional tournament game Tuesday versus Wilbur Wright College, the Kougars would have to take on the #1 seed in the NJCAA Region IV District 4 tournament in Moraine Valley Community College Thursday night.  Earlier in the regular season, the Kougars would keep pace with the Cyclones losing in the final few minutes by five points.  Yet, on this occasion Moraine Valley would eventully pull ahead in the first half and maintain their advantage until the final buzzer and a 84-67 victory for the Cyclones.  Jalen Smith had 28 points for the Kougars while Seth Gould put in 9 points, with Austin Brown and Damarian Stark 8 points each.

For Kishwaukee it ends the 2021-2022 season, however the season also marked some milestones for Coach Conroy, his staff and student-athletes.  This season was the first time since 2014-2015 that Kishwaukee advanced with a victory in the regional tournament while also having more wins an a year compared to three of the past four seasons.  Joshua Bocher finished 25th in the nation with 19.5 points per game average while Jalen Smith wound up ranked 46th in the nation with 17.8 points per game.  Kishwaukee Athletics congratulates Sophomores Austin Brown, Avery Medina, Damarian Stark, Seth Gould and Fredrick Reynolds for a solid season, their commitment to bringing excitement back to Kougars Basketball while wishing them the best in their academic and career endeavors.
