January 20, 2022 - The Kougars Men's Basketball team in their first Arrowhead Conference game of the year battled against a talented 10-5 Highland team from the jump. The Kougars would fight back numerous HCC scoring runs in the first half to go into the locker room at halftime tied at 29 culminated by a buzzer beating jumper at the top of the key by Kishwaukee Guard Jalen Smith. However, the second half was all Highland as they pulled away to a 76-60 victory over the Kougars. Smith finished with 13 points, Joseph Bocher 12 and Fredrick Reynolds had his own double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Seth Gould pulled down 9 rebounds for Kish.
Kishwaukee (5-11 overall and 0-1 in Arrowhead Conference) will head to Olive Harvey this Saturday at 3:00 pm and then have a home date on Monday against Spoon River College at 7:00 pm for their initial Coaches vs Cancer series game that continues all week at thier Kougar home games.
