Head Coach Bryan McMahan took over as Head Coach of the Kishwaukee College Esports team in Janaury 2024.  Coach McMahan offers several years of coaching experience in Esports and other programs. He has been the head Esports coach at Somonauk High School since the program started in 2020. McMahan also has coaching experience in track and field, youth and high school football, travel softball, and soccer. McMahan said his experience building Somonauk’s program offers valuable insights he can bring to the Kish program.

“I’ve learned so much about the games available and where my student-athletes play to their strengths,” McMahan said. “It’s about finding the right games and working together to push forward. I would love to help bring success to the Kishwaukee program.”

McMahan comes from an educational background, working as a Business and Technology teacher at Somonauk High School. He emphasized the value of education for the student-athletes on the Kish Esports team.

“Academics is one of my main focuses,” McMahan said. “We want them to be successful in their community in whatever pathway they choose after Kish.  I look forward to expanding our game play into Madden, NBA2K, FIFA as well as other titles we have been running including Rocket League, Smash Bros, Valorant, Call of Duty, MarioKart8, Siege and others”
