February 19, 2024 - The Kish Kougars Esports team got their first wins of the season this past President's Day and did it in decisive fashion taking all three matches with a clean sweep! In the Premier Series, Austin Salter and Tyler Neppl defeated the Pirates of Pensacola State College. In two Open Series matches, Austin and Tyler came right back from their Premier match to defeat the Muskegon Jayhawks in two straight rounds, while the combination of Nathan Merryman, Tyler Neppl, and Coach Bryan McMahan defeated downstate Southwestern Illinois College taking the first and third rounds. "The talent is obviously here with the team, and while it took a couple weeks to get the monkey off our backs, we got it done, and will continue to do so the remainder of the season" said Coach McMahan. "The team will gear up the remainder of the week for Overwatch 2 and Rainbow 6 Siege. They have faced stiff competition but should be able to bounce back with the momentum from Mondays' wins!"
