Spring semester competitions are underway for Kougars Esports team

February 24, 2022 –   The spring semester portion of the Esports team contests is underway after kicking off on January 26 with Smash and February 1 in Rainbow Six Siege.  R6S is new for the team in the competition arena this year and the team has taken to the contests well with Head Coach Matthew Hixon's guidance.  Here are the current updates in the two main games the Kougars are in this semester:

Smash Bros UltimateAntonio Suarez currently has a 3-1 record with wins over student athletes from Grays Harbor College (WA), Peninsula College (WA) and Catawba Valley Community College (NC) with the only blemish so far this semester in a 2-1 loss to opponent from Mott Community College.

Rainbow 6 Siege - the team of John Knapp, Chase Littlefield, Nyles Muzzall, Aaron Olson, Suarez and Michael Thompson is currently holding a 2-1 records as the team moves to the March month.   The team has been victorious against teams from both Johnston Community College (NC) and Iowa Western Community College
