Kish sweeps Kennedy King in baseball twin bill

March 7, 2024 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team had their first home games of the season Thursday afternoon hosting Kennedy-King College.  Kish would run rule the Statesmen by identical 10-0 wins.  In game one, Victor Becerra (Proviso West HS) had the walk off 2 RBI single in the sixth.  Jacob Skinner (Willowbrook HS) went all 6 innings with 11 strikeouts to get the victory.  Sawyer Eccles (Byron HS) and Cyrus Mehmedi (St Patrick HS) each had hits, as Will Baumgartner (Sycamore HS) tacked on 3 runs with 3 stolen bases plus Noah Lara (Rochelle HS) legged out 3 stolen bases, Daelen Figueroa (Waukegan East HS) had 2 stolen bases and Gabriel Lopez (Waukegan East HS) 2 stolen bases on the base paths.  In game two, the Kougars won in five innings with Sawyer Eccles getting the win on the mound as he struck out 10. Lenox Estremera (Proviso West HS)  Ethan Byham (Crystal Lake) and Cyrus Mehmedi had two hits each, Forrest Gerber (Rochelle HS) added 2 runs and a hit while Tommy Gargano (Glenbard North HS) produced a hit and a run scored. 

Kishwaukee moves to 3-5 overall on the early season as they get ready to embark on their spring southern trip to take on some of the best two year colleges in Tennessee next week.
