Six members of the Arrowhead Conference Champion Kishwaukee Kougar baseball team have been named to the Arrowhead Conference All- Conference Team. The selections were led by Arrowhead Conference Most Valuable Player, Matt Albert (Bettendorf High School). Albert was joined on the team by Jared Johnson (DeKalb High School), Cooper Vinz (Sycamore High School), Renny Tolentino (St. Brendan High School), Chris Rodriguez (Hialeah Gardens High School), and David Salgueiro (Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School)

Albert was named the league MVP after hitting an outstanding .543 versus league pitching. He also hit 5 doubles, 3 triples and 8 home runs, while driving in 24 runs. He led the conference in batting average and home runs, was second in RBI's and tied for the league lead in hits with 25.

Vinz was third in the conference in batting average, hitting .472. He tied for the league lead in hits with 25 and drove in the most runs with 28. He also finished with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 3 home runs versus the Arrowhead Conference.

Salguerio hit .455 on the conference season, while tying with Albert and Vinz to lead the league with 25 hits. He also had 4 doubles and 1 triple while driving in 13 runs from the lead-off position. He led the Arrowhead Conference with 15 stolen bases.

Johnson hit .361 with 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 7 RBI, while stealing 7 bases against the Arrowhead Conference pitching.

Tolentino tied for the conference lead with 3 wins and only gave up 2 earned runs in 19 innings pitched, for the second best E.R.A. in the league at 0.93. He struck out 24 batters in his 19 innings of work. He pitched a no hitter this season versus Carl Sandburg College.

Rodriguez also tied for the league lead with 3 wins. He finished the conference season at 3-1 with an E.R.A. of 3.15 while striking out 31 hitters in 26 innings of work.

The Kougars finished at 13-3 in Arrowhead Conference play, winning the Arrowhead Conference Championship. They had the largest number of players recognized on the All-Conference team.
