Aneudy DeLacruz brought home the winning run to give Kishwaukee College the lead in the sixth inning, as Kishwaukee hung on to beat Sauk Valley 3-1 on Monday.

Matt Albert doubled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from second to third on a groundout by Austin Allende.

Albert was solid at the plate for Kishwaukee, going went 2-3 and scoring one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Sauk Valley couldn't get anything going as long as Chris Rodriguez was pitching. Sauk Valley managed just two hits off of the Kougar pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out five during his seven innings of work.

In the first inning, Sauk Valley pushed across its only run of the day on a fielder's choice.
