Game-1
Aneudy DeLacruz drove in three runs, sparking Kishwaukee College to an 8-3 victory in seven innings over Illinois Valley on Saturday at Malta, IL.
He singled in the first and third innings.
Kishwaukee College never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a two-run single by DeLacruz.
After pushing across one run in the top of the second, Illinois Valley faced just a 2-1 deficit. A sacrifice fly by Shawn Feagin fueled Illinois Valley's comeback. Finally, Ricky Rodriguez got Jared Lynn to fly out to end the threat.
Kishwaukee College added two more runs in the bottom of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when DeLacruz singled, plating Cooper Vinz.
Two runs in the top of the fourth helped Illinois Valley close its deficit to 4-3. An RBI single by Feagin and an RBI double by Darren Raby set off Illinois Valley rally. The Illinois Valley threat came to an end when Rodriguez finally got Lynn to ground out.
Kishwaukee College tacked on another three runs in the sixth. David Salgueiro kicked things off with a double, plating Jonathan Felicie and Daryl Chou. That was followed up by Jared Johnson's single, bringing home Salgueiro.
Game 2-
With the score tied at 11 in the seventh inning, the IVCC pitcher balked, plating Austin Allende, for the Kishwaukee win.
Kishwaukee College was led by Andres Rios's hitting. Rios went 1-3 and drove in one.
The two teams combined for 23 runs and 24 hits, including 12 extra base hits.
David Salgueiro paced Kishwaukee College at the plate. Salgueiro went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Illinois Valley jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first. Darren Raby got things going for Illinois Valley with a double. A single by AJ Gaeta then moved Raby from second to third. Illinois Valley then tacked on more runs when Lynn scored on a fielder's choice and Gaeta and Kielion scored on a two-run error.
