Baseball Loses Second Game of Double Header

A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as Kishwaukee College fell to Muscatine 8-4 in seven innings on Monday at Winter Haven, FL.

Phil Langlois got the win for Muscatine. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Muscatine was sparked by Harry Jestel and Langlois, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.

Renny Tolentino took the loss for Kishwaukee College. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

In the bottom of the first, Kishwaukee College grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Kishwaukee College got things going when David Salgueiro singled. A groundout by Jared Johnson then moved Salgueiro from first to second.

After a quick strike from Muscatine, Kishwaukee College responded with two runs in the fourth. Kishwaukee College scored on an RBI single by Matt Albert and a sacrifice fly by Andres Rios.

The game's last lead went to Muscatine thanks to a sixth inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Kenneth Mojica, a sacrifice fly by Hecnuel Serrano, and a single by Bryan Morales.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, Kishwaukee College faced just an 8-4 deficit. An error triggered Kishwaukee College's comeback. Finally, Jhon Vargas got Albert to fly out to end the game.
