An eight-run explosion in the fifth inning lifted Kishwaukee College to a 14-1 win in five innings over Kalamazoo at Winter Haven, FL on Wednesday.

Kishwaukee College scored in the fifth on , a hit by pitch, a fielder's choice, a passed ball, a two-run error, an RBI single by Cooper Vinz, and a wild pitch.

Vinz racked up three RBIs on one hit for Kishwaukee College.

Kalamazoo couldn't get anything going as long as Renny Tolentino was on the bump. Kalamazoo managed just two hits off of Tolentino, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Kishwaukee College easily handled Kalamazoo pitching as six hitters combined for eight hits, seven RBIs and nine runs scored.

Zane Gonzalez couldn't get it done on the hill for Kalamazoo, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.

The top of the first saw Kishwaukee College take an early lead, 1-0. Kishwaukee College's threat began with a double by Jared Johnson. An error then moved Johnson from second to third.

Kishwaukee College went up for good in the third, scoring five runs on a two-run double by Gary Garcia and two sacrifice fly balls.
