The Kishwaukee College Department of Athletics partnered with local vendors and the local community to gather 3950lbs of food for WLBK’s freezing for Food event, benefitting the Salvation Army food bank.

                Nearly 90 student athletes went door to door in the Sycamore and DeKalb communities collecting non-perishable food items from November 17^th until Dec. 2^nd. With the student athlete’s help and the generosity of Hy-Vee along with Jude Wilbers and Brian Wynn of Thrivent Financial in DeKalb, the Kougars were able to add significantly to the 4600lbs of food donated from Kishwaukee College.
