Champions in the Community

The Kishwaukee College Department of Athletics Champions in the Community service program, logged over 500 community service hours in the months of September and October. Along with the 500 hours, over 90% of the Kougar athletes have completed at least 5 hour serving their surrounding communities so far.

In October, the Kougars participated in the Champions Read program with Malta Elementary School, the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival Parade, the Kishwaukee Family YMCA Halloween event, the Kishwaukee College Fair and the NIU Student Government Rally.

The Kougars are on pace to complete over 1,800 community service hours during this school year. To date 571 hours have been completed, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Data from 2014, the economic impact of those hours totals over $14,000.
