September 18, 2020 – Kishwaukee College's Women and Men Cross Country teams travelled to Normal, Illinois Friday to run in the Hawks Invite. Anne Hickey (Rochelle HS) finished 27th with a time of 24:00. On the Men's side, Nick Fiore (Belvidere HS) led the way with a 29th place finish and a 30:34. Teammates Liam Pitney (DeKalb HS) was in 45th place with a 38:09 while Mark Shaver (Genoa-Kingston HS) crossed the finish line in 46th and a time of 39:13.
Coach Hunt on the meet – "It was a little short of our expectations, but given it was our first actual meet after a couple relay challenges and virtual event. We had plenty of teams to challenge us this time in the traditional cross country format so there were some good takeaways. The athletes know what they have to work on now and are hungry to move up the rankings. We will be in much better shape by the next meet!"
The Kougars will run on the Heartland Invite on October 9.
