April 6, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College women's golf team is set to embark on an exciting Spring 2025 season under the leadership of newly appointed head coach, John Karpowicz. Karpowicz, who brings extensive coaching and golf experience, aims to build upon the program's recent successes, including a team 15th-place finish at NJCAA National Championships in the 2021-2022 season. The Kougars' spring schedule features several key tournaments:
April 1: Inaugural Kougars' Kup Spring Challenge at Fairways GC in Rochelle
April 13: NJCAA DII District Championships at Fox Bend GC in Oswego
April 14: NJCAA DII District Championships at Fox Bend GC in Oswego
April 22: Clash at the Creek at Nettle Creek GC in Morris
May 2: RVC Invite at Aberdeen GC in Rockford
These competitions will provide the team with opportunities to showcase their skills and strive for national qualification.
The team's roster for the 2025 Spring has not yet been finalized, but includes 2024 Fall season holdover, freshman Macey Stoddard. Stoddard played very well at the Kougars Kup on April 1 in frigid weather along with other NJCAA Region 4 opponents in the scramble style team event. With a focus on integrating local talent and fostering a competitive environment, Coach Karpowicz and the Kougars are poised for a promising season ahead.
