January 26, 2023 – The Kishwaukee College Women's Basketball team hosted Arrowhead Conference rival Carl Sandburg College Thursday night in the Coaches vs Cancer/Suits and Sneakers game. Kish jumped out to a 21-8 lead after one quarter but the Chargers fought back through the middle two stanzas with the third quarter ending with Kish out front 52-46. Sandburg tied it during the fourth but it was the Kougars late push with timely rebounding that sealed a 71-63 victory.  Kira Klapprodt had 21 points and 4 steals for Kishwaukee while teammates Kayla Boyd contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Chian Scott added 10 points plus Cashay Stevenson and Brooklyn Sellers had 8 points each and 7 and 12 rebounds respectively.  Samantha Koper tallied 7 points and Heaven Johnson pulled down 6 boards and 2 assists.

The Kougars (9-11 overall, 1-4 Arrowhead Conference) will host Bryant and Stratton (WI) on Saturday with tip-off at 1:00 pm in the final Coaches vs Cancer game of the week for Kishwaukee.
