Kougars drop close one down the stretch to Lady Chiefs 68-65

December 10, 2019 - The Kishwaukee Kougars Womens Basketball team hosted Waubonsee Community College on Tuesday in a Region IV matchup.  Kishwaukee led by as many as 20 points mid way through the second quarter but Waubonsee was able to get it close by half with Kish leading 34-29.  The Chiefs would outscore the Kougars in the final two frames 39-31 for the eventual 68-65 win over Kishwaukee.  Morgan Baker led Kishwaukee with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists as Cesca Vardman (11 points, 4 steals) and Lani Morris (10 points, 12 rebounds) all hit double digit scoring.  Lauren Kawall added 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a block while Alexis Keating helped with 6 points, 6 assists, 3 steals and 6 rebounds.  Dennysha Kizer pulled down 8 rebounds and had 3 blocks.

Kishwaukee (2-7 overall) will play two road games next week starting Tuesday, December 17 at Prairie State College and again Thursday, December 19 at Elgin Community College both games are slated for 5:30 tip-off times.
