Vardman, Kougars drop Kankakee in first round of regionals 60-55

 

February 26, 2018 – The #6 seeded Kishwaukee College Womens Basketball team took to the road Tuesday to take on #3 seeded Kankakee Community College in the quarter finals of the Region IV tournament.  The Kougars outscored the Cavaliers in the first and critical fourth quarters to pick up a big 60-55 victory.  Kish was led in scoring by Cesca Vardman with 21 points, Morgan Baker added 19 points and 7 rebounds, Dennysha Kizer had 7 points and 13 rebounds and Abigail Kerns (6 assists) hit two big free throws in the final minutes of play to secure the victory.

Kishwaukee (8-20 overall) now advances to the semi-final round this Saturday, March 2 at 6:00 pm against McHenry County College.  All remaining tournament games will be hosted at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
