April 23, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College softball team swept the visiting Chiefs by identical 4-3 scores Wednesday. The Kougars came back in both games as Kailey Goetz (Oswego HS) had the GW RBI in game one. Ana-Kate Phillips (Dixon HS), Laila Anderson (Oregon HS) and Haley Von Schnase (Sycamore HS) each with runs scored. Alyssa Wilkerson (Sycamore HS) got the victory in the circle striking out 15. Wilkerson has also now set the new Kish record in strikeouts in a career (258) and in a season (136)
Crystal Haack (Hiawatha HS) had the game winning RBI in the nightcap while teammate Kyra Johnson (Kaneland HS) got the win striking out 7. Bella Koertner (Oregon HS), Brooke Jackson (Sycamore HS) and Lillie Gebel (Stillman Valley HS) had runs scored. Lilli Delhotal (Kaneland HS) flashed the glove with a diving catch for last out of the game with two runners on for WCC.
Kishwaukee (33-19 overall, 14-6 Arrowhead Conference) clinched second place in the conference and secured at least 30 wins in a season for the second consecutive year. They will travel to Madison College (WI) on Friday before returning home Saturday for Sophomore Day against McHenry County College with first pitch set at 1:00 pm
