April 29, 2024 – The Kougars Softball team played two games Monday winning game one in thrilling fashion in 8 innings over Highland CC 2-1.  Jalyna Polichnowski singled to lead off the 8th, stole second, moved to 3rd on a sacrifice bunt by Haley Von Schnase then Haley Trela won it with a walk off single.  Erin Simmons went 2-3 and Alyssa Wilkerson picked up the win going all 8 innings with 6 strikeouts.  Kyra Johnson and Crystal Haack singled for Kish.  Game two was 6-5 in favor of Highland after two innings but Kish could only scratch across 2 more runs and fell 12-7 to get the split.  Linnea Nelson went 2-3 with an RBI, Chelsea Hatfield had 2 RBI plus Abby Stoffa and Simmons had an RBI each.  The Kougars are now 26-21 overall and finish 8-8 in the Arrowhead Conference.  They will play Milwaukee Area Tech in their final home doubleheader Tuesday.
