April 17, 2024 - After having their seven game win streak snapped on Monday with a DH pair of losses, the Kougars Softball team bounced back Wednesday to sweep visiting Joliet Jr College 10-0 in five innings and 8-7. Alyssa Wilkerson pitched all five innings in game one for Kish striking out 10, walking one and sealing the no hitter with a fly out.  Erin Simmons had 3 RBI, Jalyna Polichnowski and Linnea Nelson scored two runs each, Laila Anderson added a run, with Haley Trela driving in two runs and Kyra Johnson chipping in an RBI. Game 2 saw Alyssa Owen start in the circle going 3 1/3 innings and combining with Kyra Johnson in relief to win it in seven innings 8-7 for Kish.  Crystal Haack aided the Kougs offensive attack.  Teammates Anderson tripled to drive in Polichnowski in early inning play while Trela had the GW RBI in the seventh.  

Kishwaukee moves to 16-17 overall and 5-7 in the Arrowhead Conference as they are set to travel to Highland CC Thursday afternoon in conference action then host Harper College for two on Friday.
