Mens Soccer goes toe to toe with defending national champs in semis

November 1, 2023 - The Kishwaukee College Mens Soccer team returned to finish their match with #10 NJCAA nationally ranked Prairie State College Wednesday after a unique snow storm/weather stoppage on Tuesday afternoon.  Before the snow postppned the match Ayman Farah scored the equalizer with just over three minutes left in the match on an assist by Khori Miles to end regulation with a 1-1 draw behind solid goaltending by Andrew Davison in regulation and both overtimes.  The Kougars pushed the defending NJCAA DII National Champions through two additional overtimes on Wednesday morning forcing penalty kicks to decide the winner.  Josiah Antimo, Ayman Farah, Christian Lopez, Alec Garcia, Khori Miles, Guillermo Garcia and Emmett Boyce all tallied scores on the PK.  Garett Cook stood tall in goals against the top ranked shooters on PSC in the PK round.  However, Prairie State would take the match 8-7 on penalty kicks to advance to Saturdays NJCAA Region 4 Championship.  The loss ends a stellar season by Kish (7-6-2 Overall, 2-0-1 Arrowhead Conference) which saw them battle the top team in the region for over 110 minutes and defeat previously nationally ranked Illinois Valley CC in the regular season finale to take the Arrowhead Conference title then a week later beat the #4 seed Eagles in double overtime.  The AAC title was the first in Kishwaukee College Mens Soccer history  Kishwaukee College Athletics is very proud of the team's accomplishments and hard work throughout the season! #KishProud #KishFam
