January 8, 2022 - The Kishwaukee College Mens Basketball team finally got back on the floor for their first official game in 2022 after the holiday break. The visiting College of DuPage Chaparrals would hold a 38-37 lead at the half. However, the Kougars would find their consistent shot while getting key stops in the second half on the way to a 68-64 win for Kish. The Kougars were aided by Jalen Smith (Davenport West-IA HS) with his 23 points and 16 rebounds, followed by teammates Damarian Stark (Rockford Harlem HS) 15 points, Avery Medina (DeKalb HS) 12 points. Freshman Sean Etzkorn (Lisle HS) chipped in 9 points including two key free throws under a minute to play to make it a two possession game to help seal the victory.
Kishwaukee (5-9 overall) will look to continue 2022 action next week as Arrowhead Conference play begins at home Tuesday, Janaury 18 versus Illinois Valley CC.
