Kougars hang on to defeat McHenry 64-62

Luke Davis follows up NJCAA Player of the week with a triple double 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks leading the team to the 64-62 vicotory. The Kougar's would go back and forth in the first half with the Scots never leading by more than 5 points in the half.  The Kougars and the Scots would go back and forth again during the second half with Kishwaukee never able to gain the lead as they were down by 6 points with 10 minuets left. Kishwaukee would be able to fustrate the scots by switching defense causing turnovers late in the half . On the offensive side Luke Davis (Dekalb HS) was clutch again with a three late and Marshawn Phillips making two layups finishing the game on a 10-4 run and wining the game 64-62.  The other Kougars reaching double figure scoring with freshman guard Martinez Lenyoun (Oak Park - River Forest  HS)  10 points, and 11 rebounds; freshman guard Marshawn Phillips (Willowbrook HS) added 13 points and 4 Assist; and Sophomore forward Robert Johnson (Romoville HS) tallying 13 points, and 15 rebounds in the game. Kishwaukee is back on the road this Saturday November 24th against Region IV opponent Morton College. Tip-off is at 3pm at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois.
