Congratulations to 6' 4" sophomore forward JoVonte Peals from Marquette Catholic HS who has signed to play for Loras College in Iowa. Loras College competes in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference(IIAC) which is a highly competitive NCAA Division III conference. The Loras Duhawks went (18-8) last season. During JoVonte's Kishwaukee career he has played in 55 games while making 50 starts. JoVonte averaged 12.8ppg, 9.7rpg, and 1.4apg this last season for the Kougars. JoVonte has career highs of 23 points against Highland College, 17 rebounds against Sauk Valley College, 5 assists against Rock Valley College, and 5 steals against Waubonsee College. JoVonte scored in double figures in 23 of the Kougar's 31 games this year and collected (14) double-doubles in points and rebounds. JoVonte lead the Arrowhead Conference in rebounding this past year averaging 10 rebounds per game. JoVonte has career totals of 667 points scored, 454 rebounds, and 70 blocked shots in his Kishwaukee career. JoVonte's 454 rebounds currently places him 9th all-time on Kishwaukee's career rebounding list. JoVonte is the 3rd Kishwaukee men's basketball player to sign with a 4-year school this off-season. Coach Buss has now helped move (57) total players onto 4-year schools to continue their basketball careers in the last 14-years coaching at Kishwaukee.
