Kishwaukee picks up 1st win of 2018 with a 108-88 victory over Rockford JV.

Kishwaukee defeated Rockford University JV 108-88 Monday night in Malta.  It was a back and forth game through the first 20 minutes of play with the visiting Regents shooting well from the floor and the 3pt line early.  Kishwaukee would lead 54-46 at the half.  Kishwaukee played the game with just six healthy players on the night as some recent injuries have limited the roster.  The Kougar's executed better in the second half and were able to turn Rockford over for some transition baskets to help open up a 26point lead mid-way through the second half.  The Kougars would have five players score in double-figures and two player's record double-doubles on the night.  Freshman guard Landon Griffith(Rochelle HS) would lead all scorers with 31points on (13-14) shooting while also collecting 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.  Sophomore guard Dallas McClain(Decatur MacArthur HS) would be second in scoring with 28 points, and hand out a game high 13 assists with 7 steals.  Rounding out the double figure scorers were sophomore guard Troy Johnson(Chicago Hope HS) with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists; followed by freshman forward Keyshawn Stallworth(Sycamore HS) with 15 points and 11 rebounds; and concluding with freshman guard Caleb Gould(Rochelle HS) with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.  The Kougars will begin Arrowhead Conference play with a road game at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL.
