Kishwaukee extends its winning streak to 3-games with a 91-81 victory over Harper College

The Kishwaukee men's basketball team won their 3rd straight game last night with a 91-81 win over the visiting Harper Hawks.  The Kougar's would again go back and forth in the first half with the Hawks never leading by more than 11 points in the half.  Harper would shoot well from the 3pt line and be able to close the gap at the end of the half to a 3 point deficit at (45-42).  The Kougars and the Hawks would go back and forth during the second half with Kishwaukee never able to extend their lead more than 6 points until late in the half.  Kishwaukee would be able to make a run and push their lead to 11 points late in the half and ice the game away with some good free throw shooting.  On the night Kishwaukee would be led by sophomore point guard Rudy Lopez(Dekalb HS) with 28 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals.  Three other Kougars reached double figure scoring with freshman guard Landon Griffith(Rochelle HS) scoring a season high 17 points, with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals; freshman guard Caleb Gould(Rochelle HS) added 13 points and 9 rebounds; and freshman forward DeMonte Blalock(Dekalb HS) tallying 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists.in the game.  Kishwaukee would also get 9 points from sophomore guard Dallas McClain(Decatur MacArthur HS) and a team high 16 rebounds from freshman forward Darvon Sisson(Dekalb HS).  Kishwaukee has now defeated Harper in six consecutive seasons.  Kishwaukee is back on the road this Saturday December 9th against Region IV opponent Wilbur Wright College.  Tip-off is at 3pm at Wright College in Chicago, IL.
