Kishwaukee signs former Dekalb standout Luke Davis

The Kishwaukee men's basketball team has signed former Dekalb Barb power forward Luke Davis for the 2017-18 season.  Davis is transferring to Kishwaukee after playing his freshman season at Southwestern Illinois Community College downstate in Belleville, IL.  Davis played in 32 games while starting 7 contests and averaged 6.4ppg and 4.9rpg for the Blue Storm.

Davis had a standout career while playing for the Dekalb Barbs helping his teams win the Northern Illinois Big 12 conference championships both his junior and senior seasons.  Davis averaged 14.3 ppg, 9rpg, and 3.1 bpg while being named the Northern Illinois Big 12 "Conference Player of the Year" during his senior year.  Davis was a 3-year varsity starter for the Barbs and finished his high school career with 1,156 points scored and 727 rebounds.

Davis will give Kishwaukee much needed size and a strong scoring & rebounding presence for a team that lost all four forwards from this past years team.  Davis will join his former Dekalb high school teammates: Rudy Lopez, Darvon Sisson, and DeMonte Blalock on this year Kougars roster.
