Kishwaukee wins second straight with 106-70 victory over Rockford JV.

Kishwaukee won its second game in row for the first time since early December last night in their 106-70 win over Rockford University JV.  The Kougars slowly built up a lead against the Regents in the first half with strong outside shooting and sharing the basketball.  Rockford would hang around for a good portion of the first half with some strong outside shooting of their own. The Kougars would have three players reach double-figures scoring on their way to a 52-35 half-time lead.  Sophomore guard Ryan Reeder(Mendota HS) would end the first half with 13 points while shooting (5 of 6) from the floor and making all (3) of his 3pt attempts.  Both sophomore forwards Jovonte Peals(Marquette HS) and Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) would end with 10 points while each making (5) field goals in the first half.  Kishwaukee would continue to score in the second half as all nine players would have a least one basket in the win.  The Kougars would have five players score in double-figures and three player's record double-doubles on the night.  Reed would finish with a game high 27 points followed by sophomore point guard Bryson Butler(Lincoln Park HS) with 18 points, 8 rebounds, a team high 11 assists, and 3 steals.  Reeder and Peals would both finish with double-doubles having 16 points each while Peals would grab 12 rebounds to Reeder's 10, and each player blocked 4 shots each.  The final double-figure scorer was freshman point guard Rudy Lopez(Dekalb HS) with 12 points and 7 assists.  Kishwaukee would make a season high (11) 3pt shots in the game while shooting 60% from beyond the arc.  The Kougars will be back to Arrowhead Conference play with the second round of conference games beginning with a home game against Illinois Valley College next Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
