Kishwaukee defeats Aurora University JV 92-70

On a rare Sunday afternoon game Kishwaukee defeated Aurora JV 92-70.  Kishwaukee was able to lead from start to finish but Aurora would keep pace with the Kougars for most of the game.  The Kougars would take only a 10 point lead into the half-time break with some sloppy play and good outside shooting from the Spartans.  The second half would see Aurora wear down as Kishwaukee was able to finish plays and shoot better from the outside to extend their margin of victory.  Kishwaukee would have four players' record double-figure points while also having four players' record double-figure rebounds in the game.  The Kougars got strong performances from sophomore forward Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists; sophomore point guard Bryson Butler(Lincoln Park HS) with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 7assists, and 5 steals; sophomore forward JoVonte Peals(Marquette HS) 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists; sophomore guard Ryan Reeder(Mendota HS) 8 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists; freshman point guard Rudy Lopez(Dekalb HS) 10 points; and freshman forward Tim Harris(Thonridge HS) 6 points and 10 rebounds.  Kishwaukee hopes to build momentum from the win and make it two in a row as it hosts Rockford University JV on Wednesday night for a 7:30pm contest before beginning the second round of Arrowhead Conference action.
