Kishwaukee’s winning streak extends to 6 games as the blow-out Trinity Christian 114-60.

Kishwaukee(8-2) extended its season best winning streak to 6 straight games with a 114-60 win over Trinity Christian University's JV on Thursday night.  The win was another team effort as all ten players played double-figure minutes and scored in the contest.  The Kougars playing the second of three games this week jumped on top early and never looked back in the game.  Trinity would come out in a zone defense and the Kougars would respond by making the extra pass to open teammates which would result in 19 first half assists for Kishwaukee.  The Kougars also did the job from behind the 3-point line as they made a season high (9) 3pt baskets in the game from six different players.  First half leaders were sophomore point guard Bryson Butler(Lincoln Park HS) with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals; followed by sophomore forward Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) 12 points and 2 rebounds.  Sophomore guard Koko Songolo(Memorial HS) added 7 points along with freshman guard Deshaun Jackson(Peoria HS) 6pts, and freshman forward Tim Harris(Thornridge HS) with 6 points in the first half.  The Kougars would end the first half with a 55-19 lead while shooting 60% from the floor, 57% from the 3pt line, and a perfect (9-9) from the free throw line.  The Kougars would keep their foot on the gas during the second half to finish the blow-out win and record season highs in almost every statistical category.  Five Kougars finished in double-figures with two just short of joining them.  Reed would complete the night with 25 points, and 3 assists in 24 minutes followed by Jackson's 19 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals.  Butler would fill the stat sheet with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals.  Harris was efficient in his 16 minutes of action on the night finishing with 14 points(7-8 FG's) and 5 rebounds.  Completing the double figure scorers was Songolo with 12 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.  Just shy of double figure scoring in the game was freshman point guard Rudy Lopez(Dekalb HS) with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists; as well as sophomore guard/forward Jordan Horath(Mt. Zion HS) who totaled 8 points, 3 assists, and a steal.  Kishwaukee would end the contest shooting 63% from the floor, 60% from the 3-point line, and 87% from the free throw line.  Kishwaukee will again be back in action on the road at Oakton College this Saturday with a 3pm start looking to continue its winning streak to seven games.
